My Story

Bruno from Hammered Bar Hitchin & Julie Twydell are taking on a heart-stopping charity skydive to raise funds for Growing Resilience in Teens (GRIT), a remarkable local charity based right here in Hertfordshire that supports young people’s mental health and wellbeing. GRIT has helped around 1,500 young people aged 11–24 build confidence, resilience and emotional strength through innovative programmes that combine non-contact boxing, workshops, and one-to-one coaching — a unique approach known as their Four Corners Method that gives young people practical tools to cope with life’s challenges and feel stronger both mentally and physically.

This isn’t just fundraising — it’s about backing a charity that empowers local young people to take control of their lives, improve their wellbeing, and unlock their potential at a critical stage in life. Every donation helps GRIT continue delivering life-changing support to young people who might otherwise go without the help they need.
